There is nothing better than dinner in the garden. Our garden is an allotment located 10 minutes from our home.
Light a fire, grill some fish and open a nice bottle of wine. What more does one need?
You can also see todays harvest on that picture. 2 rondinis and a cucumber. Rondins are among my favorite vegetable. Just pirce them several times and put them in a hot oven for aprox. 40 minute. Half them and serve with butter and salt – delicious! Or try this.
But actually I wanted to say something about the wine. It’s a beautiful spanish organic wine called: Gago.
Thats what it tasts like: “Possesses a beautiful projected nose of blackberries, pepper, white chocolate and cedar. Deep, rich and complex with oodles of fruit, as well as glycerin and a heady finish, this should drink well for 4-5 years.” (Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate) .
We usually drink the cheaper Dehesa Gago which costs only 15 swiss franks, this is a very good price for such a nice wine.
“A stunning value. Fresh, lively, blackberry, cherry, earth and smoke aromas jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-hued rich, medium-bodied, supple-textured, luscious wine.” (Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate)
